The annual Sedona Jazz on the Rocks Festival is held just outside the city every September. On average, more than 7,000 Jazz fans attend the Festival each year. The Festival features a variety of renowned Jazz musicians and occurs in a variety of venues.

The event is presented by Sedona Main Street Program and the NAU Parks and Recreation Management Program. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. from Jordan Historical Park and proceeds south on Jordan Road to Mesquite Avenue. Parade entrants include local dignitaries and local civic, social, cultural and religious organizations and businesses.
